27. 8. 2015 - str. Mgr. Pavel Janík

From 28 to 30 August Zlín will be hosting the 45th Barum Czech Rally Zlín which is a scheduled event within FIA European Rally Championship (ERC), the 8th Star Rally Historic and the 5th Grand Prix Bugatti. Due to these competitions City Police Zlín took special precautions. Special precautions are valid from Tuesday 25 August till Sunday 30 August 2015. Officers expect high attendance due to the arrival of top world class drivers.

Therefore City Police Zlín decided to put on each occasion during this year's Barum Rally 60 officers who will together with the Police ensure safety in the streets of Zlín. The main wave of fans is expected during Friday's Super Special Stage in the city center which normally attracts tens of thousands of motor sport fans and causes many logistical changes in road and railway transportation. The best way how to get to Jižní Svahy from 5:45 pm to 11:45 pm is by car through Prštné or through Mezilesí Street from gas station Shell on Vršava. The main bus station will be closed and moved to Hradská street at 3 pm. Patrols will be along the city circuits but the citizens of the city Zlín do not have to worry as other parts of the city will be watched as well.

City Police Zlín is asking all the motor sport fans that are coming to watch the rally show in their own interest to get acquainted with safety recommendations, to unconditionally listen to the route marshal's instructions and to take care of themselves, their health and possessions. All the spectators are watching rally at their own risk therefore it is in their best interest to follow the rules. Moreover, City Police Zlín appeals to the spectators for respecting other people's rights and not entering on their premises without their permission. During the previous editions of Barum Rally there were recorded cases of people climbing on citizen's houses to get a better look on the show. It is important to keep in mind that not all constructions e.g. small roof are made for sustaining a bigger load in the form of standing and cheering people who are endangering not only themselves but nearby standing fans as well. In addition, parents should at every time know where their offspring are.

All the motor sport fans should try to get on their chosen spectators' areas in advance and to use local transportation as the capacity of reserved parking spaces is limited and parking outside of reserved parking spaces will not be tolerated by City Police Zlín.

City Police Zlín and the City Hall Zlín will focused on sellers of fast food and other goods, mainly alcohol, whether they have all the necessary licenses.

The transport company Dopravní společnost Zlín – Otrokovice at the organizers request arranged shuttle service to the special stage Maják on Saturday 29th August which goes from the bus stop at náměstí Práce square to the bus stop U Majáku. The buses will do circuits between the latter mentioned bus stops. The buses are going every half an hour and the first one is scheduled for 9:29 am and the last one back to the center of Zlín leaves at 21:18 pm. This shuttle service is meant as a special transportation and its cost is covered by the organizers of Barum Rally. Therefore it is going to be for free.

"Based on our observations made in the previous years the Special Stage Maják is one of the most popular ones and we expect many fans again. Thus we ask all incoming spectators to be there in time and to follow the route marshals' instructions. In particular, below the Malenovice castle where there are capacity limited spectators' areas," said a head of City Police Zlín Ing. Milan Kladníček.

During this Special Stage the traffic will be coordinated by the Police on Březnická Street where the spectators can park their cars on the right in the direction out of Zlín.
