Rally Guide for Barum Czech Rally Zlín has been published

Four months before the start of the 54th BARUM CZECH RALLY ZLÍN 2025, the organizers of the competition published the basic rally document in the form of RALLY GUIDE 1. That includes almost forty pages of essential information about this year's edition, which will be held in the Zlín region from August 15 to 17. It consists of 754 km and includes 13 special stages on seven sections with a total length of 207 sharp kilometers. The popular Barum rally is one of the biggest events and highlights of the FIA ​​European Rally Championship (ERC) and the Czech Rally Championship (MČR).

The Zlín organizers have divided the introductory Rally Guide into several parts, specificaly the introductory speech, last year's competition, the FIA ​​ERC calendar, contacts, accommodation, rally program and important dates, rally credits, applications, advertising, track, service zone, reconnaissance, shakedown test stage/qualifying stage, media, insurance, vehicles, hospitality, published materials, general information, dictionary - useful words and phrases. In the introduction, you will find a speech by Miloslav Regner, chairman of the organizing committee, and Ing. Jan Regner, rally director, entitled The long-standing tradition of the rally in Zlín. You will find out there that over the years, the Barum rally has worked its way to the very top of motorsports events in the Czech Republic and every year it brings a number of innovations not only in domestic rallying. Since 1984, the competition has been part of the European Drivers' Championship (ERC) and has had a strong promoter since 2007. First it was the world television company Eurosport and since 2022 WRC Promoter GmbH, which is also the media partner for the WRC World Championship events.

In Rally Guide you can get acquainted with the gallery of the previous winners of the Zlín rally. It includes big names in rally sport, with Jan Kopecký with a total of eleven triumphs on top! Vladimír Hubáček, John Haugland from Norway, Enrico Bertone from Italy and the home driver Roman Kresta have enjoyed the winning champaigne three times. In recent years, the names of a total of 29 drivers from 12 countries have been entered into the gallery of winners. Big names of the sport started in Zlín, such as the two-time world champion from 1980, 1982 Walter Röhrl from Germany, the 2019 world champion Ott Tänak from Estonia, the reigning world champion Thierry Neuville from Belgium, as well as the winners of the world championship competitions Franz Wittmann from Austria, Armin Schwarz from Germany, Andreas Mikkelsen from Norway, Daniel Sordo from Spain and Esapekka Lappi from Finland. After the previous eight wins in a row by the phenomenon and king of the Barum rally Kopecký, last year the Zlín rally was won by one of the region's owns with Dominik Stříteský. This happened after a long 18 years since the last win by the Zlín driver Roman Kresta!

The introductory guide includes the ERC 2025 calendar, contacts for the rally headquarters, national sports authorities and main rally officials. You can read the rally program, important dates and information about the track, registration conditions for competitors and the amount of deposits. Compared to last year, 65% of the special stages tracks has been changed, measuring a total of 207 km. The names of the special stages are naturally missing from the timetable; these will be revealed in mid-June. The only exception is the traditional Super Special Stage in the streets of the regional capital. This will be held on Friday again in the night scenery of the former Svit area and bus station in Zlín.

Media representatives will find the accreditation conditions and process in the introductory Rally Guide. Applications for accreditation for all media must be submitted via the online form of the company Eventos again. All media accreditation for international and national media workers will be carried out exclusively via this system of the championship promoter. Last year alone, 169 media representatives from 12 European countries were accredited in the press center.
