28. 8. 2021 - Roman Ordelt
The crew of Agrotec Škoda Rally Team Jan Kopecký, Jan Hloušek in Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo won the Super SS in the night streets of Zlín, which opened the jubilee 50th Barum Czech Rally Zlín, the fourth part of the European Rally Championship (ERC) and the fifth SONAX Championship Of the Czech Republic in Rally 2021 (MČR). The second place was taken by the Norwegian-Swedish crew Andreas Mikkelsen, Jonas Andersson also driving a Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo with a gap of only 0.2 seconds. The reigning Czech champions Václav Pech and Petr Uhel, who drove a Ford Focus WRC car with a loss of 1.7 seconds, finished third. Pech runs only in the Czech championship.
The eight-time winner of the Zlín rally, Jan Kopecký, successfully set out to defend his laurel the year before, even though he fought a big battle with the former Volkswagen factory driver Andreas Mikkelsen in the opening kilometers. Simon Wagner from Austria and Polish driver Miko Marczyk (both Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) finished just below the imaginary podium. Erik Cais (Ford Fiesta R5 MKII), a regular participant in the European Championship, also reached the elite ten in sixth place, as well as eighth Tomáš Kostka (Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) and tenth Adam Březík (Škoda Fabia R5).
Ken Torn from Estonia (Ford Fiesta Rally3) was the fastest in the ERC Junior category. The Hungarian driver Tibor Érdi jr. (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X) set the best time in the ERC2 classification. In the 2WD category, ERC3 + ERC3J set the best time Jean-Baptiste Franceschi from France (Renault Clio Rally4).
