Barum Czech Rally Zlín once again in tropical weather

Drivers and fans can expect hot weather on Barum rally this weekend with temperature exceeding 30°C. Barum Czech Rally Zlín is one of the most prominent rally events in Czech Republic and Europe as well. The 47th Barum Czech Rally Zlín is a sixth event of FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) series and likewise a sixth event of TrueCam Czech Rally Championship 2017 (MČR).
The temperature in shade will be over 30°C and in a cockpit of racing specials it would be twice as high. 'On Friday the temperature will rise to thirty degrees and even higher on weekend in Zlín region. The maximum temperature is going to be 35°C on Sunday,' meteorologist Dagmar Honsová informed.
During tropical weather drivers and rally fans alike need to keep their fluid intake. Fans should try to keep off direct sun, wear hats or headwear and sunglasses. 'These simple things serve as a mental barrier and people thus better tolerate scorching day. And don't forget to drink lot of fluid. Even six litres per day (1.5 gallons). I would also recommend to all the fans to hide under umbrellas and use sun cream,' Dagmar Honsová said.
Barum Czech Rally Zlín begins on Friday 25th August at 4 p.m. on the square in front of Zlín's city hall. The competing crews will surely do their best in this difficult rally set on mostly tarmac surface of total length 684 km with 15 special stages of length 215 km.
The 47th Barum rally opens with the very popular Spectators' Super Special Stage in night in the streets of Zlín and former Baťa's factory and the usual Legs are scheduled for the weekend. The three-day event ends on a finishing ramp on Sunday 27th August at 4:16 p.m. on the same place.
