Drivers chose their starting numbers for Leg 1, Lukyanuk is number one

Russian Alexey Lukyanuk, Ford Fiesta R5, will be the first one to get on a regular stage of the 47th Barum Czech Rally Zlín. He chose starting number one for Saturday because he won Friday's Qualifying Stage. Behind him with number two will be the five-time winner of Barum rally Jan Kopecký (Škoda Fabia R5) and third one is another Czech driver Václav Pech (Ford Fiesta R5).

Drivers underwent the Qualifying Stage in Žlutava, 4.55 km, on Friday morning. Alexey Lukyanuk from Russia repeated his last year's victory in qualification beating second Jan Kopecký by 0.512 seconds.

Top 15 drivers could choose their starting number for Saturday's Leg 1 depending on their result in a qualification and the selection took place half an hour before the Ceremonial start in front of Zlín's city hall.

Lukyanuk was again first one to choose but this year he decided to go first. Unlike last year when he surprisingly chose to go second. The rest of the drivers kept the place they reached in qualification.
