Barum Czech Rally Zlín in the tropical weather

28. 8. 2015 - Petr Říha

The tropical weather with temperature over 30°C awaits the crews and fans during the jubilee 45th Barum Czech Rally Zlín. The traditional rally is a seventh event in the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) and a fifth event of the Czech Rally Championship 2015 (MČR).

From Friday morning the sky over Zlín is clear and it is warm. On the weekend the temperature rises to 30°C and Sunday should be the hottest day. "The last day of this week will be the last hottest day of the summer. The temperature should be around 34°C," said Dagmar Honsová, a meteorologist from a company Meteopress.

"I think the drivers will be happy about the weather as they do not have to speculate about tyres and the fans do not have to worry about rain because none will come by Zlín. Also the night from Saturday to Sunday will be warm and the temperature about 20°C," said Honsová.

Barum Czech Rally Zlín begins on Friday 28th August at 5 pm on the Náměstí Míru square in front of the City Hall Zlín. The real acid test for drivers will be in the streets of Zlín and the former Bata's factory compound known as the Super Special Stage. Three day long rally ends on a finishing ramp in the same place on Sunday 30th August at 4 pm. At that point the competing crews will have endured 645 km long race composed of 15 special stages on eight roads of total length 229 km.
