Start intervals at Barum Czech Rally Zlín
27. 8. 2015 - Petr Linhart
Due to various regulations for European Championship and Czech Rally Championship the starting order will seem rather unusual this year. However the list of entries has already suggested that.
On Friday morning the crews will be divided into two groups - drivers with FIA or ERC priority will do two free rides and then the qualification, and the second group can do only a standard shakedown. At the ceremonial start the drivers will appear on a ramp according to their starting number, beginning with number one and then up, there won't be any skipping of numbers. However, the Super Special Stage will be the exact opposite. Driver with the highest numbers opens this night stage, later there will be a 10 min gap between national and international list of crews.
Moreover, the most principal changes will be carried out on Saturday and Sunday. First fifteen cars will start in two-minute interval, on Sunday in the second stage this will apply only for ten drivers. Other drivers with FIA/ERC priority have one-minute interval. After putting on the road this group (numbers 1-46) there will be a 7-minute gap after which the rest of the international crews (47-91) will set out. Another 7-minute follows after the latter group and the last drivers (numbers 92-143) will finally start their race. Star Rally Historic follows the Barum Rally drivers with a 15-minute pause filled in with zero cars.
