Barum Czech Rally Zlín 

No drama at the end of Saturday's part

The Saturday's Czech tricolour dominance continued in the eighth stage of the Barum Czech Rally Zlín 2014. Jaromír Tarabus (Škoda Fabia S2000) passed the second running of the longest stage Troják (length 22, 82 km) in the fastest time of 12:57, 2 minutes. Second one to finish was Václav Pech (Mini John Cooper Works S2000) who lost 1, 6 seconds but secured his overall first place.

He was closely followed by Tomáš Kostka (Ford Fiesta R5) who lost 3, 7 seconds. The fifth Jaroslav Orsák (Škoda Fabia S2000), eighth Roman Odložilík (Ford Fiesta R5) and ninth Pavel Valoušek (Škoda Fabia S2000) contributed to the dominance of the Czech drivers. The Estonian driver Ott Tänak was sixth and Kajetan Kajetanowicz reached the seventh position. Both of them on Ford Fiesta R5 seem to be getting on the right tracks.

The last stage Semetín (length 11, 51 km) was another tough test for the crews. The fastest time achieved Pech, strengthening his leading position, followed by Tarabus and for the first time among the stage's top three was Tänak. To everyone's surprise the overall second driver Sepp Wiegand (Škoda Fabia S2000) and third Kostka did not get into the top ten. Pavel Valoušek was disqualified before the start of the last stage due to low weight of his Škoda Fabia S2000.
