The first passage of the fastest and most difficult stage called Troják caused a stir in the medal positions. The three best crews in overall standings are out.

The current Dutch leader Abbring retired after his Peugeot 208 T16 had engine problems. Second Esapekka Lappi (Škoda Fabia S2000), the current leader of the FIA European Rally Championship, went out of road and retires as well as Craig Breen (Peugeot 208 T16) from Ireland. Despite finishing the stage Breen damaged the car body when side-hitting a tree, which forced him to retire.

Roman Kresta (Škoda Fabia S2000) came in first followed by Václav Pech (Mini John Cooper Works S2000). Robert Cosani and Bruno Magalhães have also reported car troubles at the tricky stage Troják. It is ageless Kresta, who became the leader of the rally. Václav Pech is second and the Czech driver Tomáš Kostka (Ford Fiesta R5) is third. Another Irishman Robert Barrable (Ford Fiesta R5) is out due to technical problems. Home racer Richard Kirnig and the Ukrainian model with Finnish license Inessa Tuškan (both driving Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX) also retired.
